I’m Gareth and as a native speaker of English from Australia, and after completing teacher training in Brisbane (Australia) and London (UK), I have used direct methods to help improve the English levels of more than 700 students over the past 15 years. It is a privilege to be such an important part in the personal development of peoples’ lives. I am passionate about sales and management, I enjoy playing the drums and to be part of the BeeSpeaker revolution is a real thrill.

My name’s Marta and I’m the face of the app (literally). A couple of facts about myself: after ditching my corporate job in 2021, I started my digital nomad life working as an online Polish and English teacher as well as a content creator for various language learning apps. I currently live in Georgia (the country, not the state) and I’m planning on moving either to Central America or Asia in early 2022. BeeSpeaker is a modern and innovative application for learning foreign languages, which will help you build your self-confidence in a natural way and will make you never be ashamed to speak English again.

The core of our courses is the natural method,, which involves speaking to foreign language tutors who are available to you in the app. This will allow you to break the language barrier and the fear of speaking in a foreign language. The application uses machine learning – it recognises your spoken responses, so communication is not one-sided! Based on this method, we have focused on creating short lesson sessions that you can complete at a convenient place any time.

Do you get nervous at the thought of saying a single sentence in English? Then BeeSpeaker is for you! Speaking a foreign language doesn’t have to be boring and stressful. We focus on what is most important in communication with other people – the conversation. Going on holiday abroad and wondering how to order a coffee without milk at the hotel bar? Are you afraid to ask about the price at a stall because you don’t feel confident speaking a foreign language? In BeeSpeaker you have a unique opportunity to use the language in practice by talking to Bill, Margaret or any other tutor waiting inside the app. They are there for you!

No way! BeeSpeaker has been prepared primarily to make the application as easy to use and intuitive as possible. It really is a modern language app for everyone.

You can install the app yourself on almost all phones and tablets. To do this, use the
Google Play link if you have an Android device or the Apple Store if you are using iOS.

Don’t worry, your PRO subscription hasn’t disappeared, and together we’ll find a solution. To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you’re logging in with the same email address and login method (email, Facebook, Google, or Apple) that you used when purchasing the subscription. If you’re using the app as a guest (meaning you didn’t log in when first using the app), go to the Profile tab and click on “Complete Registration.” Then, use the login options available at the bottom half of the screen. 
  2. If you’re certain that you’re logging in the same way you did when purchasing PRO or if you don’t remember which login method you used, follow these additional steps:

   – If you’re using an Android phone, search your Gmail inbox (associated with your Google Play account) for “Google Play” and find the transaction confirmation. Send us the confirmation to helpdesk@beespeaker.com.

   – If you’re using an iOS device, search your email inbox (associated with your Apple ID) for “Apple” and locate the purchase confirmation. Send us the confirmation to helpdesk@beespeaker.com.

Once we receive the necessary information, we will provide you with instructions on which account to log into within the app or any other steps you need to take to regain access to your PRO subscription.

To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you’re logging in with the same email address and login method (email, Facebook, Google, or Apple). If you’re using the app as a guest (meaning you didn’t log in when first using the app), go to the Profile tab and click on “Complete Registration.” Then, use the login options available at the bottom half of the screen. 
  2. Within the app, go to the “Profile” tab, then “Settings.” 
  3. Click on the “Restore PRO” button.

Your PRO subscription should be activated.

If you’re stuck on the microphone permission screen and unable to proceed into the app, it means you haven’t granted BeeSpeaker access to your microphone. To proceed, you need to do it in your phone’s settings:

For iOS:

– Go to Settings.

– Scroll down and find and tap on BeeSpeaker in the list of apps.

– Enable microphone access by toggling the switch next to the Microphone option so that it turns green.

For Android:

– Go to Settings.

– Find and tap on Apps, then App Manager, and then BeeSpeaker.

– Go to Permissions, tap on Microphone, and select “Allow only while using the app.”

Please note that Android phones may vary, so the path to granting microphone permissions may differ depending on your specific phone. If you’re unsure, consult the device manufacturer’s support for assistance in locating the relevant settings.

If the microphone isn’t working at all when using BeeSpeaker, it doesn’t pick up your voice during exercises, doesn’t highlight any spoken words in red/green, or you see the pulsating three dots continuously, there are a few factors that could be causing this problem.

First, make sure you have granted BeeSpeaker permission to access your microphone (refer to FAQ point 3). If you have, there are three methods to troubleshoot the microphone issue (applies to Android phones):

Method 1 – Google App:

  1. Check if the Google app is installed on your phone.
  2. If it’s not:
    1. Go to Google Play, search for “Google,” and install the app.
    2. Open the app and grant it microphone permissions.
    3. Then, proceed with the steps described in the next point.
  3. If the app is already on your phone:
    1. Open the Google app and go to your Profile by tapping your avatar in the top right corner of the app.
    2. Tap “Settings,” then “Voice.”
    3. Tap “Language” and make sure English (UK) or English (US) is selected.
  4. Next,
    1. Go back to the “Voice” screen and choose “Speech recognition.”
    2. Ensure that English (UK) or English (US) language is installed on your phone.

Method 2 – Accessibility Settings:

  1. Go to your phone’s settings, then select “Accessibility.”
  2. Find the “Text-to-speech settings” option and select it (do not choose the gear icon to the right of the button).
  3. Choose “Speech Services by Google” as the preferred engine.

Method 3 – Samsung Phones:

  1. Go to your phone’s settings, then select “General management.”
  2. Find the “Text-to-speech” option and select it (do not choose the gear icon to the right of the button).
  3. Choose “Speech Services by Google” as the preferred engine.

If your microphone isn’t picking up individual words, it most likely indicates an error in the application, which you can report to us as described in the following questions.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay for the PRO subscription via bank transfer or BLIK. Due to the nature of the service, which involves recurring payments, a payment method that allows for the recurring deduction of a certain amount from an account is required. However, bank transfers and BLIK are only suitable for one-time payments.

To pay for the subscription, you need to add your payment card as a payment method in Google Play or the App Store.

Additionally, after subscribing, you have the option to remove the payment method from Google Play or the App Store, so that no automatic charges will be made and your card information will be removed from your account.

When you cancel your subscription in Google Play or the App Store, your PRO will not be disabled. Cancelling the subscription means that it will not renew after the current billing period ends. Your subscription will only be cancelled should you request a refund for the subscription.

We do not currently offer a family plan, but we are working on introducing one and will notify you as soon as such an option becomes available.

After completing a lesson, the repeats for the material you covered will appear the next day. This means that if you completed lessons today, the repeats for those lessons will appear in the app tomorrow. So start learning with us today, and the repeats will be waiting for you tomorrow!

If you want to change the playback speed and adjust the speed at which the sentences are spoken by the teacher:

  1. Pause the lesson by clicking on the screen during playback.
  2. Select the “Change Speed” option.
  3. Choose the speed that suits you and click “Save”.

If you encounter errors in the application, you can report them to us in two ways.

During a lesson, click on the screen to pause it, and select the “Report a Problem” option.

In such a situation, please check if you have access to a stable and fast internet connection. If you are using a cellular network, make sure you have good signal strength and a 4G, LTE, or 5G connection, or switch to Wi-Fi. If you are using Wi-Fi, ensure that you have a strong signal and that the internet speed is sufficient to, for example, stream videos without any buffering issues.

BeeSpeaker offers 2 subscription plans: individual and group.

You will find the current prices of these plans in the app. To do this, go to the Profile tab and click on the gold “Go PRO!” button. On the next screen, you will see the current prices for all plans! We often have various promotions for the annual plan, so look out for one!

Yes, your subscription will automatically renew when the purchased period expires. This means that the monthly subscription will renew every month, and the annual subscription will renew every year. The renewal of the subscription will involve deducting the payment for its next period from your account.

Information about whether your subscription is active and when it will automatically renew can be found in the Profile tab in the app. If the subscription has been canceled, you will see the message “Subscription will not renew automatically.”

You can cancel your subscription in the app store:

No, the price of your PRO subscription will not increase. It will always remain the same as it was at the initial purchase.

There is an option to remove the payment method from both Google Play and the App Store, which will result in no automatic charges, and the card details will be removed from your account.
