Intro
When we talk about prices in English, some numbers can sound very similar. The important difference is word stress. In numbers from 13 to 19, the stress is at the end of the word: thirTEEN, fourTEEN, fifTEEN, sixTEEN, sevenTEEN, eighTEEN, nineTEEN. In numbers like 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90, the stress is at the beginning: THIRty, FORty, FIFty, SIXty, SEVenty, EIGHty, NINEty.
